Mr. Leon Smith is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with degrees in medicine and dentistry. He completed advanced surgical training in Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, offering surgical management of the diseases and conditions of the face, jaws and mouth.

Leon has completed post-fellowship training in Orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, Facial Trauma Surgery and Head and Neck Surgery. He has special interest in orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, oral and craniofacial implantology and facial trauma surgery. Leon is a Federal Councilor for the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Having a long history of clinical practice in the Northern Territory, Leon has practiced in both a general dentistry and medicine in Darwin prior to completing specialist surgical training.  Leon is a lecturer at the School of Dentistry and Medicine, University of Western Australia and is actively involved in training of undergraduate and post-graduate dental students.

Leon is a consultant surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital, Oral Health Centre of Western Australia and Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Mt Lawley. Leon offers the full scope of practice of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to the people of the Northern Territory.
